Arab Feebleness

It's a little astounding to me how easily all the Arab and Muslim countries are pushed around by tiny Israel, even if it is backed by American cash and technology. No doubt their culture and religion hold them back. (During the Iran-Iraq war an Iranian submarine commander sank an enemy ship without speaking the customary Islamic version of "mother, may I" and was hanged for the offense.)

There are also bizarre strategic choices. Hizbullah had stockpiled some 13,000 rockets for use against Israel, mostly short range Katushas but also some longer range missiles. Militarily speaking, these missiles are merely an irritant - good for provoking a war but useless for fighting it. What if they had replaced 10,000 of these with good air defense and anti-tank missiles?

Israel would had had a much tougher war, that's for sure.
