S S Titanic: Sleeping with the Fishes

I thought I ought to check out what the other side is reading, just in case Kevin, Brad, Josh, et. al. are giving me a biased view of the world. Episode the First.

The editor of The American Daily asks: "Why does the "Left" encourage/support Muslim Extremists?" You may not be surprised to find he thinks he knows the answers:
1) The Muslim Extremists want the USA to fail, so does the Left-Left.

2) The Left -Left loves to control the populace, so do the Muslim Extremists.

3) The Left-Left is stupid enough to think they will exist after the Muslim Extremist takeover and the Muslim Extremists are smart enough to know how dumb the Left-Left folks are.


And he knows what to do about it:
However the "Left-Left" of the "democrat party" are a serious threat to the existance(sic) of the USA and deserve to be visited by some social and political extermination crews.
Is this a great country or what? The author claims to have worked on the Space Telescope for six years. I wonder how much he had to do with the screwed up focus.

Those brown uniforms look like crap though - or was that the idea?

A 9-year study of wild baboons in Kenya by Princeton University and the Institute of Primate Research may turn conventional assumptions of alphas males upside down. The study found that alpha males have high testosterone levels, which allows them to dominate other baboons, get access to more food, and attract better mates. This is expected. Surprisingly, though, the alpha males also have high levels of stress hormone glucocorticoid, which scientists measured from their feces samples. We Call it Soccer

The US played its best, and maybe only good game of World Cup, but lost thanks to brilliant goalkeeping by the Swedish keeper and the bizarre method soccer uses to settle ties when three US stars could not put the ball on frame from the 12 yard spot.  At the end it came down to a blocked shot that spun in by maybe a couple of centimeters. Well, that's football - too much like life.   Which brings me to a modest proposal.  Replace the thirty minute overtimes with as many 7-player 15 minute periods as needed to settle it.  Scoring should be much easier with fewer players.
